Poly Tunnels to Extend Your Growing Season

Poly tunnels consist of a steel or plastic frame and are covered in transparent polyethylene. The interior captures incoming solar radiation from the sun to warm plants, soil, and air inside faster than heat can escape. Temperature, humidity, and ventilation can be controlled by opening and closing doors and vented windows. Poly tunnels are becoming common in cold climates such as in Canada as an inexpensive way to extend the growing season by 2-3 months.
